HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--Nov. 11, 2021--Nickelodeon announced today that it has greenlit a 20-episode third season of its hit live-action comedy Tyler Perry's Young Dylan. The series follows a family whose world is turned upside down when their nephew, hip-hop mogul-in-training Dylan (Dylan Gilmer), moves in unannounced. The season will begin production early next year at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.
The third season of Tyler Perry's Young Dylan will follow Dylan as he continues his pursuit of stardom, while getting his family into hilarious hijinks along the way. Accompanying him in his quest for music greatness are his uncle Myles (Carl Anthony Payne II), aunt Yasmine (Mieko Hillman), grandmother Viola (Aloma Lesley Wright), cousins Rebecca (Celina Smith) and Charlie (Hero Hunter), and Rebecca's best friend Bethany (Jet Miller).
In 3Q21, Tyler Perry's Young Dylan ranked as the #1 live-action program on Cable among kids 6-11 and was the top-rated show across all TV among Black kids 6-11. New episodes of Tyler Perry's Young Dylan currently air on Nickelodeon on Thursdays at 7 p.m. (ET/PT), with the season two finale scheduled to air Thursday, Dec. 9.
Tyler Perry's Young Dylan is executive produced and created by Tyler Perry. Mark E. Swinton, Will Areu, and Carmen Jones will serve as producers. HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--May 21, 2021--Nickelodeon's hit live-action comedy series Danger Force and Tyler Perry's Young Dylan return this June with new back-to-back episodes on Saturday nights. Danger Force, TV's number-one live-action kids' show (Kids 6-11), will air new episodes beginning Saturday, June 12, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), followed by the season two premiere of Tyler Perry's Young Dylan at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
In this new episode of Danger Force, "Captain Man Strikes Out," Captain Man (Cooper Barnes) goes on strike because he refuses to pay for art that he destroyed on a mission, forcing the Vice-Mayor to hire a new hero to defend Swellview: Monsieur Man.
Danger Force follows the students of Swellview Academy for the Gifted (SW.A.G. for short), a school conceived by Captain Man and brought to life by Schwoz (Michael D. Cohen), as they continue to learn to harness their frequently troublesome and sometimes uncontrollable superpowers while fighting crime. Chapa (Havan Flores), Miles (Terrence Little Gardenhigh), Mika (Dana Heath) and Bose (Luca Luhan) must keep their real identities a secret from both from their families and the villains who are out to destroy them.
In the season two premiere episode of Tyler Perry's Young Dylan, Dylan (Dylan Gilmer) gets ready to return to Chicago with his mother when a change in the plan causes him to question their relationship and prompts the Wilson family to help him through this latest crisis.

Nickelodeon's partnership with Perry is part of his long-term pact with ViacomCBS, producingoriginal series for BET Networks (The Oval and Sistas) and other ViacomCBS networks, withexclusive licensing rights on this programming. Additionally, Perry recently announced his jointventure with BET Networks for the new streaming video on demand service BET+. Tyler Perry'sYoung Dylan marks Perry's first kids' scripted series.
Born and raised in Annapolis, Md., Gilmer is known for his many appearances and performanceson The Ellen DeGeneres Show and at NBA All-Star Weekend. He will next appear atNickelodeon SlimeFest, a two-day family-friendly music festival on Saturday, March 21, andSunday, March 22, at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif. Gilmer has an overall talent deal withTelepictures, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Television, and has previously guest starred on therevival of Nickelodeon's hit series All That.
