Willow’s journey has come to an early end.
Disney+ has cancelled the live-action fantasy series after one season, having opted not to move forward with Season 2.
The axe falls just two months after the first season concluded on January 11. The show, which was a sequel to the classic film of the same name, starred Warwick Davis as Willow Ufgood and featured an ensemble cast including Ellie Bamber, Ruby Cruz, Erin Kellyman, Amer Chadha-Patel, and Tony Revolori.
Despite its modern take on the classic and its fun, wholesome approach, which was largely well received, Willow is not expected to be picked up by another network or streaming service.

Disney+ unveiled the teaser trailer for Lucasfilm and Imagine Entertainment's "Willow" an all-new live-action fantasy adventure series based on the classic 1988 feature film, at the Lucasfilm studio showcase panel at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim today. Our family liked Willow, sorry to see it canceled!
