The Premise is a one-and-done at FX on Hulu.
The anthology series has been axed after a single season, following its five episode run on the streaming platform in 2021.
Hosted by B.J. Novak, The Premise was billed as “a fearlessly ambitious series that uses comedy to engage with the biggest issues of our unprecedented modern era.”
The cancellation comes as little surprise given that The Premise had been missing in action for well over a year without word of a second season.
The Premise is not expected to be continued on another platform for Season 2.
