About Texas Metal’s Loud and Lifted TV Series

Everything is bigger in Texas, especially the brand-new TEXAS METAL spin-off series TEXAS METAL'S LOUD AND LIFTED premiering Wednesday, March 8 at 10 PM ET/PT on MotorTrend TV and streaming on MotorTrend+. Texas is a mecca for truck customization, an uber-diverse metal cranking mash of everything from trophy-winning show trucks to drop it down lowriders. While Bill Carlton, host of TEXAS METAL, is still the reigning champion in the Lone Star State's custom truck world, TEXAS METAL'S LOUD AND LIFTED has been super-sized with three of the most talented, up-and-coming custom auto garages in the state: Wide Open Garage, Mod Mafia, and 1 Way Diesel Performance.

The three TEXAS METAL'S LOUD AND LIFTED garages work on everything from oversized mud stompers to supercharged street racers, and each have their own areas of expertise for building a new generation of jaw-dropping monster machines. At the helm of Wide Open Garage is Dave and Daniel Donnan, a father and son team, and Robert Brown, who focus on MegaTrucks and mud trucks, while the Mod Mafia garage with Josh George and Mark Pyles specializes in rock-crawling Hummers and other all-terrain vehicles, the 1 Way Diesel Performance garage with brothers Chase, Clay, and Tommy Wells build everything from low riding Mac trucks to diesel pro-mod race cars.

Each week TEXAS METAL'S LOUD AND LIFTED reveals several new monster machine builds that test the bounds of customization and engineering. In Episode 1, "Diesel Little Red Express," long-time collaborators with Bill Carlton, 1 Way Diesel Performance, build a 1979 Little Red Express from the ground up. This family of engine experts add power and performance with an engine swap, customized transmission, compound turbo setup, not to mention a custom suspension, body fabrication, paint, full interior, new wheels and tires. Down the block from Bill Carlton and Ekstensive Metal Works in Houston, the father son duo at Wide Open Garage is all about building purpose-built mega trucks when they turn a little Suzuki Samurai into a lake crossing monster truck.

This season the TEXAS METAL'S LOUD AND LIFTED garages will tackle a diverse array of automotive projects including:

· Rebuilding a totaled Lamborghini and swapping in a diesel engine

· A Mega Truck built completely from scratch

· Brian Johnson, the Liver King, gets a new Hummer

· Building a bigger Suzuki Samurai lake crosser

· Stabilizing a Jeep Gladiator after a Hellcat engine swap

TEXAS METAL'S LOUD AND LIFTED airs Wednesday nights at 10 PM ET/PT starting March 8 on MotorTrend TV and is available on MotorTrend+ the same days.
