MARK STRONG'S COMPLICATED UNDERGROUND LIFE CONTINUES TO SPIRAL AS "TEMPLE" RETURNS FOR SEASON 2 MONDAY, NOVEMBER 1 ON SPECTRUM ORIGINALS

Los Angeles, Calif. (October 12, 2021) - TEMPLE named one of the "Best Shows of 2020" by the New York Times, makes its thrilling return to Spectrum On Demand when all seven episodes of the crime series drops ad-free on Monday, November 1.

Season One Temple was ranked #1 in unique VOD HHs and #1 in overall VOD usage (HBO's The Undoing was #2) for its first 15 weeks on Spectrum (through February 27, 2021).

"We are delighted to be back on Spectrum with Season 2 of TEMPLE," said Strong. "This time we take viewers on a white-knuckle ride above ground where events spin dangerously out of control and Daniel is forced into an unholy alliance with an unusual medical fixer played by the inimitable Rhys Ifans."

Strong plays the brilliant but haunted surgeon, Daniel Milton, who sacrificed everything for love in Season 1 when he opened an illegal medical clinic in the network of tunnels beneath London's Temple subway station with hopes of healing his wife Beth (Catherine McCormack) with experimental treatments. But when word of the clinic started to spread among outcasts and the criminal underworld, Daniel became entrenched in dangerous battles between life and death, which continues throughout Season 2 as he tumbles deeper and deeper into the hole he's dug for himself. As he's faced with larger than life decisions, the choices he makes will define him forever - for better or for worse.

Additional talent returning to Season 2 includes: Carice van Houten (Game of Thrones), Daniel Mays (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Lily Newmark (Sex Education), Ryan McKen (Zomboat) and Tobi King Bakare (I May Destroy You). New cast that joins the dubious and deeply unpredictable underworld are BAFTA winner Rhys Ifans, Michael Smiley, BIFA winner Ruthxjiah Bellenea, Mandeep Dhillon, Jamie Michie, Will Keen and BAFTA winner Gbemisola Ikumelo. Liza Marshall and Mark Strong as executive producers for Hera Pictures and Gabriel Silver executive produces for Sky Studios. TEMPLE is written by Colette Kane, Josh Freedman Berthoud, James Allen and Alan Westaway, Daniel Jackson and Daniel Cullen; produced by Laurie Borg and directed by Christopher Smith, Tinge Krishan and Fredrik Louis Hviid.

In the first series, Daniel just about kept the plates in the air as he looked after his wife, Beth, in an illicit clinic underneath Temple tube station. But now everything comes crashing down as Beth wakes from her coma and demands answers. Eve wants to know why her parents have been lying to her, Lee joins forces with a charismatic activist and Anna is desperate to make something positive out of the situation.

Amongst the new arrivals for Series 2 are dubious and deeply unpredictable underworld fixer Gubby, played by BAFTA-winner Rhys Ifans and his poetic but frequently inebriated medical assistant, Dermot, played by Michael Smiley. Also joining are BIFA-winner Ruthxjiah Bellenea , Mandeep Dhillon, Jamie Michie, Will Keen and Bafta winner Gbemisola Ikumelo.
