NASHVILLE, TN - (June 13, 2022) - CMT today unveiled its upcoming summer programming slate of new and returning original series and music specials. Kicking off with the return of "CMT's Red, White & Blue Weekend," CMT will again air the live broadcast of "Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th," Nashville's signature Fourth of July fireworks display and concert headlined by Old Dominion, plus CMT Hot 20 Countdown's annual "Holiday Salute to the Troops" weekend special. As previously announced, "CMT Campfire Sessions" returns for its much-anticipated Season Two with Jason Aldean kicking off its new star-packed season on Friday, July 15th at 10p/9c. Additionally, the brand has greenlit an all-new fan-centered concert series, "CMT Summer Camp," which will premiere with Little Big Town on Thursday, August 12th at 9p/8c.

CMT's signature weekly series comes to fans on location from the The Patriotic Festival in Norfolk, VA with headliners Kane Brown, Jon Pardi, RaeLynn and the real stars of the show - the men and women of the US Navy - for the annual "Holiday Salute to the Troops. Hosted by Cody Alan and Ashley ShahAhmadi. Premieres Saturday, July 2 at 9a/8c; encores Sunday, July 3 at 9a/8c.

"CMT LET FREEDOM SING! MUSIC CITY JULY 4th" LIVE from Nashville with Old Dominion - Monday, July 4 at 10p/9c
Broadcasting LIVE from downtown Nashville, the 90-minute special features a concert from Old Dominion, immediately followed by a commercial-free presentation of one of the largest fireworks displays in the country, the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp's (NCVC) live Fourth of July fireworks display, accompanied by the Nashville Symphony; CMT's Cody Alan to host.

NASHVILLE, TN - (March 30, 2022) - CMT today announced two new series greenlights: the revival of one of television's most influential and storied music franchises, "CMT Storytellers," and a second season of fan-favorite summertime series, "CMT Campfire Sessions," kicking off with two special episodes headlined by superstar acts Brooks & Dunn and Little Big Town, respectively.
"It's an honor to be given the reins to reviving one of the most iconic music series of our generation as we bring the Storytellers franchise to CMT for the first time, following an unprecedented 97-episode run on our sister network VH1. A legendary series requires an equally epic kickoff and we're proud to have Brooks & Dunn, two of our genre's greatest storytellers, helping mark its momentous return," shared Margaret Comeaux, Executive Producer and CMT's Senior Vice President of Production.

Inspired by the much-acclaimed CMT Digital series of the same name, "CMT Campfire Sessions" brings together a star-studded lineup of some of music's biggest names as they strip down their biggest hits, share new music and swap stories with friends fireside for an intimate night of music. The series debuted in primetime in July 2021, with featured appearances from Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Keb' Mo', Kelsea Ballerini, Lady A, Miranda Lambert with Jack Ingram & Jon Randall, and Trisha Yearwood. "CMT Storytellers" gives fans a front row seat with behind the scenes access to their favorite artists and music. The 1-hour special showcases country superstars as they perform and share never-before-heard stories about how their iconic hits came to be in front of an intimate audience. Legendary duo Brooks & Dunn kicks off the series as they perform their hits including "Neon Moon," "Red Dirt Road" and "Boot Scootin Boogie" and give an insider's look at their songwriting process, life in the industry, and their career. The Storytellers franchise originally aired on VH1 from 1996-2015 and quickly became a cultural touchstone, featuring some of the biggest names in music including Garth Brooks, The Chicks, Pearl Jam, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift, among others.
