Disney+ announced that Andor will end after Season 2:
“We are covering one year in our first 12 episodes, that we’ve completed, in fact we’re finishing our final mix on episode 12 tomorrow. We are going to do another 12 episodes starting in November and the organizing principle for shooting is that we do blocks of three, so last year we were looking at the difficulty of doing five years, which seemed like it would take us the next 30 years.
In truth, the answer elegantly presented itself; we’re going to take our four blocks of three episodes in the second half of the show and each block is going to represent another year closer. We really get to take the formative forging of Cassian Andor in the first 12 episodes and then we get to take that organism that we’ve built up and run it through the next four years in a really exciting narrative fashion.”

Today, Disney+ released an exciting new trailer and key art for "Andor," an original, 12-episode series from Lucasfilm. The series, which takes place prior to the events of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," debuts exclusively on Disney+ on its new date, Wednesday, September 21, with a three-episode premiere. The "Andor" series explores a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor's journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It's an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

Disney+ is pleased to share the trailer and key art from its upcoming series "Andor" that was featured this morning at Star Wars Celebration. The new, original series from Lucasfilm takes place prior to the events of "Rogue One" and launches exclusively on Disney+ August 31, with the first two episodes.

Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor and is joined by cast members Genevieve O'Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough and Kyle Soller. The executive producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna and Michelle Rejwan. Tony Gilroy is the creator and showrunner.
Andor, a tense nail-biting spy thriller created by Tony Gilroy, is set to arrive on Disney+ in 2022. Diego Luna, reprising the role of rebel spy Cassian Andor from "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," will be joined by a fantastic new cast that includes Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma.
